ABOUT JOHN SEYMOUR

I'm John Seymour, a Grammy-winning engineer with more than two decades of professional studio experience. I started as an assistant at New York's legendary Electric Lady Studios and spent the next several years working my way through the ranks, eventually becoming one of the studio's senior engineers and working alongside world-class artists, producers, and award-winning teams. Along the way, I contributed to projects with sales in excess of 40 million records.

Throughout my career, I've worked with artists including Dave Matthews Band, U2, Santana, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Vertical Horizon, Erykah Badu, Common, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones,  and many others.

 

After decades in the music industry, I've learned that great masters don't happen without great mixes. Sometimes the biggest improvements aren't made during mastering at all. They're made in the mix.

That's why I created the MusicBoost. Rather than treating mastering as a one-time transaction, I work collaboratively with artists to identify mix issues before mastering begins.
